A brief introduction

Hi! My name is Nandika Nankani and I’m in my final year at the University of Warwick. I was in Children’s International School from pre-school through to year 7 and I moved to the UK in year 8 as a full-time boarder. During my time at school, I really enjoyed exploring a range of different extracurricular activities, including sports, drama and student government clubs. As I got older I found myself being drawn to all things psychology related, which led me to join the psychology club at school and eventually become president in my final year. My other interests and hobbies include running, travelling, and volunteering. Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any guidance or advise for anyone coming to study in the UK.

What was the biggest challenge you faced adapting to boarding school?:

I think the biggest challenge I faced was home sickness. I am very close to my family and I didn’t realise how different my lifestyle was going to be when I first moved to the UK. However, once I settled down and started meeting people and making new friends, the adjustment wasn’t as overwhelming as it was in the beginning.
