A brief introduction

Hello, my name is Adeyemi Oni, and I’m currently a student-athlete in my junior year at Emory University. Before coming to Emory, I spent three years at Day Waterman College and then attended Repton School in the UK, where I thrived in an environment that allowed me to balance both my passion for football and my academic pursuits. With the resources and support at Repton, I was able to enhance my football skills, which earned me a Division 1 Soccer scholarship to Saint Mary’s College of California.

After two years at Saint Mary’s, I decided to transfer to a university more aligned with my academic interests in finance and economics, leading me to Emory.

As you can see, my journey has been dynamic, and I’m excited to share the insights and experiences I’ve gained along the way. Whether it’s navigating the balance between high-level athletics and academic rigor or helping you choose a school that suits your individual goals, I look forward to connecting with you!

What was the biggest challenge you faced adapting to boarding school?:

I’ve always been quite extroverted, so making friends wasn’t much of an issue for me. However, one of the challenges I faced was adapting to the new dietary options. Being a picky eater, it took me a few months to get used to the school cafeteria. Safe to say, I was eventually forced to broaden my palate!
