Hello, my name is Kamana Akinyanju, and I am a final year Mathematics with Finance and Accounting student at Queen Mary’s University. I have grown up across Lagos and London, which has been an interesting experience. Before moving to the UK, I attended the French school in Lagos for primary and did my secondary school years here in the UK at Epsom college. What was the biggest challenge you faced adapting to boarding school?: I guess I’d say the biggest challenge for me when I first attended boarding school during Year 8 was the culture differences and adapting to a whole new system. Additionally, I missed home a lot, as I hadn’t been away from my family for long periods before that. It was a difficult transition.
