A brief introduction
I’m TJ Amusan, a recent graduate from the University of Warwick, and I came to the UK from Nigeria after year 5. I am a film and English literature student, and from this course I have been able to learn a variety of narratives which has established the skill of storytelling for me. I believe being able to tell a story is a skill that can be transferred to any facet of social and corporate life. I have an interest in a multitude of different sports, having played football and athletics at a competitive level. As I’ve gotten older I have broadened my horizons to the entertainment aspect of sports, immersing myself in the world of sponsorship sales and brand consulting. Having an established understanding in all this fields puts me in a position of guidance for those planning to study in the UK and are unsure of what sector they want to be in.
What was the biggest challenge you faced adapting to boarding school?: I would say the difference in how people acted and the different environment than I was used to coming from Nigeria was my biggest challenge, as it took a while to adapt to.
